True Corp’s chief has expressed the interest in tapping the mobile phone and cable TV industry in Myanmar.
President Supachai Chearavanont said that the company is prepared to apply for the licenses, as soon as Myanmar opens for the application.
He said that Myanmar is expected to issue the licenses within this year: 3 for local players and 2 for foreign companies.
Supachai also said that True plans to expand the business into Cambodia and Laos.
The “True Move H” brand will be used for the mobile phone industry and “TrueVisions” for the broadcasting business.
