Consult-Myanmar welcomes you to the 27th SEA Games Myanmar, 11-22 Dec 2013YANGON, July 9 (Xinhua) — A total of five songs will be chosen by taking public assessment for the upcoming 27th Southeast Asian Games to be hosted in Myanmar, official media reported Tuesday.
Ten finalist songs in the shortlist have been selected from all entries which were accepted since January 2012, said the New Light of Myanmar.
For voting for the best song, the people may take out the CDs and song notes from the designated offices from different regions and states free of charge since July 7.
These 10 songs will be distributed together with CDs and song notes to the people across the nation for choosing the best of all and they are being broadcasted through TV program from July 5 to 15.
Best five songs among the entries will be announced in the last week of July.
Meanwhile, local and foreign companies are considering the sponsorship of SEA Games in the country as the event nears.
At present, Kanbawza group has sealed 1 million U.S. dollars sponsorship deal to become a main sponsor.
SEA Games sponsorship deals are categorized into platinum, gold and silver. The sponsors will be able to use SEA Games logos and mascots for commercial purposes and designated zones in SEA Games venues.
Myanmar will host the SEA Games in coming December in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay and Ngwehsaung beach.
