

A 500-strong police force will maintain maximum security for Ngwe Saung Beach during the 27th SEA Games, according to Ayeyarwady Region Police Force.
The 27th Southeast Asian Games is scheduled to be held in Nay Pyi Taw, the new capital of Myanmar, as well as in other main cities such as Yangon and Mandalay including the beach.
Police Colonel Tun Min said the force will take care of security affairs during a week-long yacht race at the beach.
Myanmar Police Force has already announced that highest-level security measures will be maintained in the regions and states hosting the Games.
Three people were dead and ten others were injured during the last month bombings across the country, including the bombing that hit Traders Hotel which is a designated place for foreign guests to stay during the Games.
Ministry of Hotels and Tourism said a special team will check security measures taken by the hotels designated for the Games starting from the next week.
