In line with the National Development Plan, the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has been identifying the economic potentials to contribute to the country’s economic development. As our endeavors for national development, Myanma Railways (MR) is committed to establish potential Rail Concerned Business.

Myanma Railways has built 630 Km long Backbone Optical Fiber Cable by using fiber ITU G-652 from Yangon to Mandalay. There are 86 railway stations and average distance for railway station is about 8 Km.

Myanma Railways now invites Tenders form reputable local, international or joint venture tenderers to undertake works for Maintenance and Ensure Connectivity of Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) laid between Yangon and Mandalay.

The Tender in original and duplicate copies shall be submitted to the Deputy General Manager, Supply Department, Myanma Railways, Corner of Theinbyu Street and Merchant Street, Botahtaung Township, Yangon, Myanmar, Phone + 95 1 291985 or 291994 not later than 2 pm, on Tuesday 27 May 2014. The Tender must also submit an electronic copy of the Tender in a CD ROM. No Submission by email shall be entertained.
