“We are discussing with representatives from Avia Solution Group every Tuesday at the airline head office via internet video call, said Than Tun, airline’s managing director.

The airline has leased ten Boeing aircraft from the leasing service. The new international flights would be launched after the delivery of leased aircraft.

The leasing contract was signed on February 11 in Singapore. Under the contract, the leased aircraft comprise six Boeing 737-800 and four Boeing 737-8Max with delivery from June 2015 to 2020.

The state-owned national carrier was formed in September 1948. From the fiscal year 2013-14, the airline is operating under its own budgeting plan and will finance the leasing agreement from its funds.
