INVITATION TO EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
FROM CONSULTING FIRMS FOR OPTICAL FIBER CABLE PROJECT
In line with the National Development Plan, the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has been identifying the economic potentials to contribute to the country’s economic development. As our endeavors for national development, Myanma Railways (MR) is committed to establish potential Rail Concerned Businesses.
MR has built over 6,000 Km route Length of Rail Lines from North to South, East to West and over 900 Railway Stations to cater rail operation throughout The Country and average distance for railway station is about 8 Km. MR is planning to install Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) along railway lines. MR is the Executing Agency for OFC Project and is responsible for the implementation of OFC Project and selecting a short-list of eligible applicants for Consulting Services for Optical Fiber Cable Project.
To form the short-list, MR now invites consulting firms or joint venture entities who are interested in the Project to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) for the above mentioned Consulting Services. Expression of Interest (EOI) Document of the above said works could be obtained from Deputy General Manager, Supply Department, Myanma Railways, Corner of Thein phyu Street and Kon The Street, Bo Ta Htaung Township, Yangon, Myanmar, Phone +95 1 291991, fax +95 1 291994 starting from 18th February, 2015.

The Expression of Interest (EOI) in one original and two duplicates, copies shall be submitted to the Deputy General Manager, Supply Department, Myanma Railways, Corner of Thein Phyu Street and Kon The Street, Bo Ta Htaung Township, Yangon, Myanmar, Phone +951 291991, fax +95 1 291994 not later than(14:00Hr) 2.00pm, on Friday 20th March 2015 and be clearly marked “Expression of Interest for “Consulting Service for Optical Fiber Cable Project” The Bidder must also submit three electronic copies of the EOI Documents in the CD ROMs. No submission by e-mail shall be entertained.
