Asia Cement Public Co Ltd won a tender for running a state-owned cement factory through the joint venture system, according to an announcement of Ministry of Industry on Saturday.
Before the Ministry of Industry had not reached final agreements with a previous winner for the project, it put Kyangin Cement Factory in Ayeyawady Region out to tender again in December last year, inviting local and foreign companies that competed for the project in the previous competition to bid for the project.
No.2 Heavy Industries Enterprise of the Ministry of Industry has already put its three cement factories out to tender to operate them through the joint venture system.
