Vietjet Offers Promotional Fares for Yangon-HCMC Flights

Vietnamese low cost carrier Vietjet said it is selling tickets at special prices for its newest route linking Yangon to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

The sale will go on from 11:30 to 13:30 (Myanmar time) everyday from July 24 to July 29.

The carrier said that “lucky tickets” will be available from $0 for the travel period between October 2 and December 31. However, all low cost fares exclude taxes, fees and charges, Vietjet added.

The route between Yangon and Ho Chi Minh City, which will start on October 2, will be operated with the frequency of five return flights per week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The estimated flying time is about 2 hours and 15 minutes.

The flight departs from Ho Chi Minh City at 10:25 (local time) and arrives in Yangon at 12:10 (local time). The return flight takes off from Yangon at 13:00 (local time) and arrives in Ho Chi Minh City at 15:35 (local time).

Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh, vice president of Vietjet, said: “Vietjet is delighted to make our network wider with the additional service from Ho Chi Minh City to Yangon, connecting the two countries’ business, culture and tourism hubs.

Vietjet, the first private airline in Vietnam, operates a fleet of 25 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, with 150 flights each day. Since beginning operations three years ago it has opened 33 air routes inside Vietnam and between Vietnam and cities in Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Cambodia and China.
