GMS EWEC Eindu to Kawkareik Road Improvement Project
Lot 1: ICB1-ED-KKR-L1 , Lot 2: ICB1-ED-KKR-L2
1. The Republic of the Union of Myanmar has applied for financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Greater Mekong Subregion East West Economic Corridor Eindu to Kawkereik Road Improvement Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contracts named above.This contract will be jointly financed by ASEAN Infrastructure Fund (AIF). The eligibility rules and procedures of the ADB will govern the bidding process.
2. The Ministry of Construction (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the contracts (lot1 and Lot2) described above. The works, which will be executed under traffic, will require the removal of the existing pavement structure, widening and raising the road embankment, construction of a new two lane with sealed shoulders pavement structure with asphaltic concrete surfacing, demolition of existing structures and construction of approximately 111 new structures.
3. International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two-Envelopes bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Documents.
4. Bidders may bid for one or two contracts (lots), as further defined in the bidding document Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.

6. To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should: Write to the address above requesting the bidding documents for both or either of the Lots described above. Pay a non-refundable fee of:
Lot 1,USD 200 or equivalent in MMK by bank cheque or transfer
Lot 2,USD200 or equivalent in MMK by bank cheque or transfer
The office is open Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 16:30
7. A site visit will be organised:

9. When comparing Bids, ADB’s Domestic Preference Scheme is not applicable as stipulated in the Bidding Document.
