This video highlights the many challenges facing the Myanmar education system. It shows the difficulties that young people faced in getting the necessary skills and training to be job ready due to the poor education infrastructure. It also shows the challenges faced by employers in finding the right talent and the constant problem of high employee turnover due to a lack of career planning.
The author interviewed HR expert such Mr Lin Kyaw Tun – Director at Career Development Consultancy, Mr Maung Maung Than – Research Programme Director at Myanmar Survey Research, Mr Nanda Aung – Vice Principal of Myanmar Hotel & Tourism School and Mr Kelvin Khant – Managing Director of Asia Central Link Travel for their views on the challenges employers in Myanmar.
