MYANMAR and Singapore exchanged notes on a 30-day visa exemption plan for ordinary passport holders of the two countries on the first day of Singaporean Prime Minister Mr. Lee Hsien Loong’s visit to Myanmar yesterday.
Under the visa exemption agreement, Myanmar citizens holding ordinary passports will no longer need to apply for a visa to visit Singapore and will be granted a visa exemption for a stay of maximum 30 days.
Singaporeans visiting Myanmar will be subject to the new rules as well. The 30-day visa exemption for citizens holding ordinary passports will be effective from 1 December this year.—Myanmar News Agency
