Organic guaranteed certificates will be issued to those who fit the prescribed regulations, said an official from Myanmar Organic Food Growers and Producers’ Association.
Those receiving certification will only be engaged in Nyaungnapin agricultural zone, coffee cultivations in YwarNgan, Shwebo Paw San Mway rice variety and mushroom cultivation in Yangon so that they can legally export their agro-products to countries in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS).
Myanmar’s Organic Food Growers and Producers’ Association will issue organic guarantee certificates with assistance from the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM).
“Locals from these four places can seek guarantee and training courses. Training courses focusing on required rules and regulations will be offered,” said Dr Than Than Sein from Myanmar Organic Food Growers and Producers’ Association.
This association will organise trainees to engaged in the organic agro-industry.
