Tender will be invited for cable car project to be implemented at the Kyaikthiyo pagoda also know as Golden Rock, according to the ministry of hotels and tourism.
Previously, the tender for the project linking Yathaetaung camp and the summit was won by Sky Asia company limited, a joint-venture between Sky International Co., Ltd of Kora and Asia International Fisheries Co., Ltd from Myanmar.
The 22 billion Won (20 billion Kyats) project was to run with B.O.T system for 50 years and it was approved by Myanmar Investment Commission in 2015. But the agreement was canceled later on. That’s why the ministry is planning to invite a new tender during this month.
