Omni Focus Co to establish public bus company with over 3,500 buses

THE Omni Focus Company has plans to establish a public bus company with a fleet of over 3,500 buses, said a responsible person from the company.

After shutting down the All Private Bus Lines Control Committee (Central), the Yangon Transport Authority has been planning to run bus lines under a public bus company programme. Omni Focus Company plans to operate their bus company with over 3,500 buses made between 2006 and 2016 as required by the government for the establishment of such an enterprise. Omni Focus Company is currently running bus lines in Yangon.

The Yangon Transport Authority is managing bus lines, taxis, other transportation vehicles, the Circular railway and the water transportation network in Yangon Region.

There are over 350 passenger bus lines in Yangon with a total of 5,000 buses and over 50,000 taxis, it has been learned.
