The factory is currently experimentally operational with the assistance of foreign experts and local staff. Myanmar’s ethnic- owned Vantage Company Limited and Thai Tex Company jointly established this factory, which is expected to produce 500 tonnes of finished rubber products per month if there are sufficient raw materials, said U Maung Myint, a rubber businessman.
Vantage Company Limited has operated rubber plantations in Boat Chaung village since 1996. The company exports RSS-1 rubber to the domestic market and began exporting to foreign markets in 2013.
The purified rubber manufactured from this factory is expected to be of high quality and to command the prevailing world market price. In addition to various gloves used in industry, laboratories and operation rooms, the factory will also produce car tyres.
