Prices of jade and jewelry set to sell at Myanmar gems and jewelry emporium

The floor prices of gems and jewelry are already set for competitive bidding and open tender system at Myanmar’s gems and jewelry emporium which is slated to kick off from 20th to 29th November at Mani Yadana Jade Hall, Nay Pyi Taw, according to an announcement released by Myanmar gems expo committee.
The jewelry prices are from 500 to 20,000 euros in open tender system whereas the competitive bidding prices are above 20,001 euros. The jade prices are from 4,000 to 200,000 euros in open tender system whereas the competitive prices of jade are set above 200,001 euros.
Similarly, the prices of jade finished products are set from 1,000 to 200,000 euros in open tender system.
The emporium will feature the raw materials and finished products of jade, the jewelry, the gold and silver accessories and the paintings decorated with gems and the gems and jewelry will sells in euro, it is learnt from the said committee.
The citizen gems and jewelry entrepreneurs will have to submit the list of jade lots which they will trade at expo to the jade enterprise committee between 27th September and 6th October, 2016, according to an announcement. The gems lots will be checked from 10th October to 4th November whereas the jade lots will be checked from 18th October to 4th November.
Those who have already sought licences and permission in accordance with the rules and policies of Myanmar’s gems are entitled to sell these gems and jewelry displayed at the Myanmar gems and jewelry emporium. —Ko Htet
