Amazing Holidays Hotel and Resorts Co Ltd has won the contract to kick off a construction project on a 100-plus acre plot in Thandwe Township, a statement from the Myanmar Investment Corporation (MIC) said. The land comes under the jurisdiction of the Rakhine State government.
In a meeting on Friday, MIC decided to grant permission to the company to build a golf club of international standards along with hotels and service apartments on the 115.132-acre plot in Thandwe Township under a build-operate-transfer system. The permit has been granted in accordance with the Myanmar Citizen Investment Law.
Amazing Holidays Hotel and Resorts Co Ltd is a local company running hotel services in various regions such as Taungoo, Bagan, Mandalay, Nyaungshwe, Inlay, Kengtung, Chaungtha and Ngapali.
MIC grants business permits after scrutinising recommendations and proposals from state and regional governments, relevant union ministries and organisations. The local and foreign investments granted during this financial year has created 9,412 jobs for Myanmar people.
