MDY Urban & Housing Development to sell 500 affordable

Mandalay Department of Urban and Housing Development Director-General U Aung Kyaw Lin announced that they will sell over 500 affordable, color-codedapartments within the Mya Yee Nanda housing complex starting on 10 November in Chanmyathazi Township, Mandalay.

“The affordable apartments fall into four categories. The green colour is for government servants, blue for retired government civil servants, yellow for company staff and pink for lower- income people. Interested persons can apply between 1 December and 31 December.” he added.

The apartments will be sold by lot. The applicants must have (Pyithu Hluttaw) Lower House representative’s letter of recommendation or Regional Hluttaw representative’s letter of recommendation. The decision will also be made based on household income. The applicant’s monthly salary must be at least 4 to 5 lakhs on average and they must be able to purchase in four installments with bank loans. There are a total of 560 apartments in 14 five-storey buildings that have been constructed on an 7.67-acre plot of land. A ground floor apartment is being sold for K22.30 million.
