Air KBZ plans to launch its first international route on 2 December, when it will begin thrice-weekly flights from Yangon to Chiang Mai, Thailand, said Assistant General Manager Daw Aye Mra Thar.
The Myanmar airline planned to begin the new flight in November, but could not do so because of negotiations with Thailand authorities.
A round trip ticket for the new Air KBZ flight will cost US$99 per person. The Yangon- Chiang Mai flight is planned to operate every Sunday morning and Wednesday and Friday
evenings.
Air KBZ has previously offered only domestic flights, operating 15 domestic routes using eight airplanes. The airline currently offers commercial flights to Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw, Myitkyina, Nyaung-U, Kalay, Heho, Lashio, Tachileik, Dawei, Myeik, Kawthaung, Thandwe, Sittway and Loikaw.
