Sanjay Gupta, CEO Grand Royal
The market leader in the whisky market in Myanmar with over 70% market share – Grand Royal Group is not only a well-known brand in Myanmar – it is also a well-run company.
Last night we attended the Grand Royal Go-Live Celebration for its Production Planning and S&OP software that were supplied and implemented by Futurmaster – a leading vendor of supply chain management solutions.
Sanjay Gupta, CEO of Grand Royal said “as our business grows we need a solution that enable us accurately and flexibly forecast our demands by SKUs which automatically translate into information that the purchasing department can use for ordering bottle, cap, carton, etc.” When an FMCG company reaches a certain size of operation – Excel spreadsheet loses its ability to track and communicate changes fast enough to the various stakeholders in the sales, production and purchasing departments. Normally only big international FMCG companies like Unilever, P&G or L’Oreal use such a system – this only goes to show the size, complexity and the growth the Grand Royal business in Myanmar.
What impresses the team in the sales and supply chain departments in Grand Royal was the ease of use of the interface and the ability to access the systems from their PC, laptop or smart phones.
Grand Royal Group aims to optimize its inbound and outbound logistics network to ensure freshness and timely supply to their valued customers and improve its delivery performance.
That being said, Grand Royal Group will also be using FuturMaster’s Supply Solutions to reduce inventories in its factories. With FuturMaster’s Supply Solutions, it will create detailed sequences for each dispersing, mixing and filling operation during the whisky production process. With the right operational sequence, Grand Royal Group aims to increase productivity in its factories, reduce lost times and cleaning times to deliver the best products and services to their customers and consumers through an ethical approach in doing business.
