A new business hub opened in Yankin township yesterday, with the Korea Business Centre (KBC) set to offer a range of services from office space hire to start-up consultation and investment matchmaking.
The Korea Business Centre is operated by a subsidiary of Korea-based Yulchon LLC, and will provide benefits for the Korean business community.
“KBC will provide full-service law firms for foreign investors who would like to start businesses in Myanmar, especially for Korea investors,” said Su Gu Kang, spokesperson for Yulchon Myanmar.
There is a lot of demand in the foreign business community for temporary workspaces in Yangon, he said.
“We will provide office space for temporary use including facilities for daily, weekly or monthly hire,” he said.
KBC will also be a hub for business advice, including on investment risk, law, company registration, tax issues, intellectual property and market information across the country.
“For foreign investors, finding some qualified local staff is difficult. We will fill that gap and we will find the staff by connecting job centres,” he said.
The facility will also provide something of a business matchmaking service, he said.
“Local businessmen who want to have foreign partners and investment can contact our center and we will link them with the right foreign partners and investment sources.”
Yulchon LLC was founded in Korea in 1997. It now has branches in both China and Vietnam, and opened its first office in Myanmar in 2014.
