The project, worth an estimated $250 million,is slated for completion in 2017 and is making “good progress,” said Cyrus Pun, Head of Real Estate at Yoma.
The towers are being built by the construction firm BYMA Pte. Ltd, a joint venture between Yoma and a subsidiary of Paris-based Bouygues, a conglomerate whose construction arm is one of the world’s largest, according to Yoma.
Units are on sale from $100,000, with four bedroom and penthouse options costing up to $500,000. Residents will also have access to a gym, pools rooftop bars and
conference rooms.
The completion of the second tower block “is an exciting milestone for us,” Pun added. “The community of Star City is growing organically and becoming more and more vibrant, as we envisioned.”
The Star City project, the brainchild Yoma’s chairman Serge Pun, will offer a golf course and a prestigious international school when completed.
“From the apartmentsof Galaxy Towers you have a view of the surrounding landscaped estateand the waters of theBago River, the cityscape of downtown Yangon and the gleaming Shwedagon Pagoda,” said Craig Maturi, General Manager of Star City.
