A premium office tower on the western edge of Inya Lake in Yangon has reached full occupancy after a “surge in demand” for international standard office space in the second half of the year, the company behind the building has said.

The final two tenants of the 18-storey Vantage Tower on Pyay Road, which launched in February, moved in earlier this month.

“We experienced a surge in demand for prime office space in the second half of this year as international businesses operating in Myanmar looked to expand and relocate to more reliable and prestigious offices,” said U Soe Khine, general manager of Myint and Associates, which describes the tower as its flagship office space.

The two new tenants are Thai oil and gas giant PTquake TEP and the local branch of the Swiss pharmaceuticalRoche Pharma. They join the Australian Embassyand the MPRL E&P Group of Companies.

“The property has definitely set the standard for earthquake resistance, wind velocity resistance (and) fire safety,” said Nathanat Meesuk, the tower’s general manager. “Our health and safety standards are what attracted world class multinational conglomerates and diplomatic mission because they have stringent safety and security requirements.”
