Microsoft Launches Office 365 in Myanmar – MPT and Grand Royal Among Commercial Customers

US computing giant Microsoft has of­ficially introduced its latest cloud-based Mi­crosoft Office 365 product to Myanmar.

Mr Sy Wann, Microsoft Myanmar’s Country Di­rector, said at a launcg ceremony at the Sule Shangri-La hotel last month that Myanmar’s technology-based indus­tries are fostering multi-sectoral development andstart using cloud-based technology.

Microsoft 365 is part of Microsoft’s software plus services strategy. The product is available under several plans for business­es, with prices ranging from $5 per month based on the number of users. Standard Office subscrip­tions are also available for home, student, govern­ment and nonprofit users, added Wann.

The Grand Royal Group, a domestic whisky pro­ducer, and telco opera­tors Myanmar Post and Telecommunications, are using Office 365.

Office 365 subscribers have access to use 1 TB of storage on OneDrive, and Microsoft is considered unlimited storage options for all user.
