Myanmar earned about US$450 million from the export of fisheries products over the first ten months of this fiscal year, $76 million more than at the same time last year, according to official figures issued by the Commerce Ministry.
The country exported $368.843 million worth fisheries products to international trade partners from private sector in the2015-2016 fiscal year.
From 1 April of last year and 27 January of this year, the export value of fisheries items rose to $445 million from $368 million.
The country sold 368.970 metric tonnes of marine products worth $502 million to partner countries in the 2015-2016 fiscal year, 338.210 metric tonnes worth $482 million in the 2014-2015 fiscal year and 345.267 metric tonnes worth $536 million in the 2013-2014 fiscal year.
Over the past ten months, the country exported $9.333 billion worth products, including agriculture products worth $2.254 billion; animal products worth $7.639 million; mineral products worth $787.782 million; forest products worth $194.695 million; industrial products worth $4.365 billion and other products worth $1.277 billion
