Kuala Lumpur based video-on-demand service, iflix, is now available in Myanmar on month and year long contracts, after the company launched in partnership with local payment company Red Dot.
After wooing customers with free one month long trials, iflix is now offering the full array of its services starting from K3,000 per month and up to K30,000 for the year, which can be paid at one of 14,000 Red Dot retail stores across the country.
“We have successfully introduced a customer payment system in partnership with Red Dot network,” said Adeana Greenlee, iflix Myanmar Country Manager.
“Customers can pay in cash at retail shops where the Red Dot service is available.”
Since launching in Malaysia in 2014, iflix has set up in 10 countries across Southeast and South Asia including in Vietnam, Indonesia and Pakistan, amassing some 4 million subscribers.
Subscribers to iflix have access to thousands of TV shows and movies including titles such as Fargo, Limitless and The Magicians on up to five devices at once.
Customers can subscribe to the service through www.iflix.com or through the apple and android iflix mobile app.
