Tenders to be invited for sub-Ks100 million projects in Rakhine



Rakhine State government has announced yesterday that it will invite tenders for projects with investments of not more than Ks100 million.

The announcement came at the coordination meeting on inviting tenders for the projects for the 2016-2017 financial year.

“We envision development and security in Rakhine State with establishing an economic zone which can create job opportunities,” said the Rakhine State Finance, Tax, Planning and Economic Minister.

At the meeting, the authorities pledged that they will carry out the tender processes following instructions from the Government. The authorities also discussed plans for implementing the projects in townships in Rakhine State.

Following the meeting, the authorities held a meeting with local traders and businessmen over issues related with socio-economic development and the security, health and education sectors.
