The open tender would include a crematory, a garbage tank and plastic trash carriers, the MCDC said.
It said the garbage tank must be without lid and has a length of between 6 and 10 inches, 6 feet width and height of between three and 9 inches.
The plastic trash carrier must have four wheels and capacity of 660 liters. The department would also need a two-wheeled trash carrier with a capacity of 240 liters.
“We do not specify the floor price for tender. We will choose according to the quality and price of the materials,” Daw Win Min Than, section head of Cleansing Department, told The Myanmar Times.
“Cleaning materials must be qualified and must not be expensive. Last year, the tender price of crematory was under K50 million and prices of the other cleaning materials were also proper,” she added.
Open tender forms can be bought at the price of K5000 per copy at the office of the Cleansing Department, located at the second floor of the Nan Shae Market, Aung Myay Tharzan township, during office hours.
Properly filled up forms must be submitted not later than 2pm on August 11. Open tender be held on August 14.
For the crematory, it must be located at the Aye Yeik Nyein cemetery. There are currently three crematories being used by MCDC in Aye Yeik Nyein cemetery and four crematories in South Inn and North Inn cemetery.
The Cleansing Department is responsible for cleaning the whole of Mandalay City. The office has 862 cleaning staff, 243 garbage trucks and 181 three-wheeled trash carriers.
