Expired and unlicensed items were among the destroyed goods. Dr Zin May Htay, secretary at the Myeik District FDA, said: “We found 104 drugs unfit for consumption from AA Medical Products Co.

We also inspected drug stores and found 14 unlicensed medicines, nine expired drugs and a packet of mixed pills. We also visited food stalls in schools and confiscated two food items unfit for eating and 17 types of expired food.”
