November 21, 2017 by thiha

Stephenson Harwood has opened a new office in Yangon, expanding the firm’s reach in Southeast Asia.

The firm’s Myanmar practice has been advising international and domestic clients for more than 20 years, including some of the largest strategic market entries, commercial joint ventures and M&A.

“Stephenson Harwood is committed to Southeast Asia, and to growing our practice there,” said Sharon White, CEO at Stephenson Harwood. “This year marks our 21st anniversary in Singapore, and the opening of our Yangon office demonstrates our commitment both to Myanmar, and to the region as a whole. It also marks an important step in our ambitious growth strategy.”

“It is an exciting time to be working in Myanmar, and on Myanmar-related matters,” added Tom Platts, lead partner at the firm’s Myanmar practice. Stephenson Harwood now has six offices and two associated offices in Asia.
