19 agreements worth over $50 million signed for national power supply project

Nineteen agreements worth over US$50 million have been signed for the national power supply project to be implemented with a World Bank loan, according to the Ministry of Electricity and Energy.

Thanks to the project, over 5,000 villages in 14 regions and states in Myanmar will enjoy electricity.

Purchasing contracts and consultancy service agreements were signed with the tender-winning companies on June 6.

On that day, a total of 19 agreements worth US$50.036 million were signed including contract on purchase of insulators and related fittings worth US$6.195 million, contract on purchase of transformer and line accessories worth US$18.810 million, contract on purchase of steel parts and accessories worth US$15.114 million, contract on purchase of concrete piles worth K6,182 million and contracts on consultancy service s worth US$3.859 million and K2,035 million.
