55th Myanmar Gems Emporium continues on seventh day

The seventh day of the 55th Myanmar Gems Emporium fetched 86.866 million euros through the sale of 818 jade lots yesterday.

Over 4,000 local and foreign merchants attended the sale, and a total of 1,150 jade lots from lot numbers 2,301 to 3,450 at a floor price of 4,000 euros and above were put on sale yesterday through the open tender system.

In the afternoon, the Myanmar Gems Emporium Central Committee held a ceremony to present certificates of honour to the foreign merchants who had attended the emporium 20 times and above at the Mani Yadanar Jade Hall.

Members of the Myanmar Gems Emporium Central Committee, Chairman of Myanmar Gems and Jewellery Entrepreneurs Association U La Phai Khunsar presented certificates of honour to the six foreign merchants who attended the event 20 times. The secretary of the Central Committee and Managing Director of Myanmar Gems Enterprise U Aung Nyunt Thein presented a foreign merchant who had attended the emporium 30 times and two foreign merchants who attended it 35 times with certificates of honour.

The jade lots of numbers 3,451 to 4,600 will be put on sale through the open tender system on 27 June, whereas lot numbers 4,601 to 5,750 will be on sale on 28 June and lot numbers 5,751 to 6,795 will be on sale on 29 June.
