Yangon Region government has invited local and foreign companies to cooperate in implementing a staff housing project on 183 acres of land, according to government sources released on August 12.
The project area is located on a 183-acre plot at the corner of Shweli Road and Myananda Road in Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Township, Yangon. The project will also include business-related buildings, shopping centres, advanced housings and car parks.
Local and foreign companies wishing to cooperate in the project are invited to submit an expression of interest (EOI) and fetch a set of applications priced at K50,000, including rules and disciplines and architectural master plan. Applications can be made at the Yangon Region government office from August 13 to 17.
Yangon Metropolitan Development Company would take charge of implementing the three-year project. A stake-driving ceremony for the project was held in August last year, according to Chief Minister Phyo Min Thein.
The staff housing project includes about 4,000 apartments. Retired civil servants may purchase apartments in a 15-year installation plan through banks, said an official from the company.
