Mytel: Standardized Local Calling Rates to Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia

Fulfilling its commitment to make a positive impact on customer satisfaction, Mytel has worked on special rate for roaming with leading telecommunication companies in Vietnam (Viettel), Laos (Unitel) and Cambodia (Metfone).

Mytel roaming charges the same for local Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia calls and roaming calls to and from Myanmar. This will allow Mytel to charge the same affordable roaming rates while using its “Calling Local Service” and “Calling Home Service.”

U Zaw Min Oo, Chief External Relations Officer said, “We have worked hard with our partner telcos in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos to provide Mytel users very affordable international roaming calls in those countries. This means that Mytel subscribers will be able to use their Mytel SIM card to call Vietnam, Cambodia, or Laos at the same roaming rates of 125 kyats per minute. It is also the same roaming charges of 125 kyats per minute for making or receiving Mytel-to-Mytel calls to and from Myanmar.”

Mytel, the latest telecommunications operator to enter the Myanmar market, aims to win over Myanmar customers by providing the latest innovations in mobile network technologies, tower rollouts and products.

Mytel owes it to customers to bring them value-for-money and worry-free service and product offerings. Especially now, when Myanmar people travel abroad for business, work, study, or pleasure, Mytel wants to provide them the best possible experience and price while they are abroad.

Mytel’s standardized international roaming rates for Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia are as shown in the table:

“Mytel will continue to listen to its customers’ needs to be able to provide the best possible mobile network experience and overall customer satisfaction. There is no need to buy a new SIM when you travel to those countries. Simply use your Mytel Myanmar Sim card to connect with family and friends back in Myanmar,” U Zaw Min Oo, CERO at Mytel stated.

MYTEL is Myanmar’s newest telecommunications provider, and was founded in 2016. Myanmar now has a total of five telecom operators in the country to choose from.
