Sichuan Airlines arrives in Yangon

Sichaun Airlines launched its first flight to Yangon (RGN) on 13 November, the day in which it started services from Xi’an (XIY).

The 2,317-kilometre connection will be flown three times weekly using A320s, with the route facing no direct competition.

Jose Angeja, COO, Yangon Airport said: “Sichuan Airlines connects Yangon, the commercial capital of Myanmar, to Xi’an, the biggest city in Northwest China and the most famous ancient capital in Chinese history.

With this connection, it is also a good opportunity to travel more and develop our businesses, share our cultures, and it can also bring a great impact on many industries in Myanmar, particularly to the tourism industry.

We hope to receive more tourists to Myanmar to enjoy the beauty of Myanmar and enjoy the improved facilities at Yangon International Airport.”

According to OAG Schedules Analyser data, Sichuan Airlines already operates a route to Myanmar, with it connecting Kunming to Mandalay.
