Investment company Myanmar Strategic Holdings Ltd said Wednesday it will open its first international school in Yangon, Myanmar, in August 2019 after completion of a USD1.0 million development project.
The redevelopment is currently underway at the Yangon American International School and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2019.
The school, which has capacity to host 400 students will have 17 classrooms over 2,000 square metres, plus 1,000 square metres of playground.
Yangon American will operate classes from pre-kindergarten through to the third grade, serving students from aged from three to eight years old.
Myanmar Strategic shares were untraded at USD10.00 each on Wednesday.
