Changhe Q35 comes to Yangon

Gold AYA Motors International Co Ltd has introduced its very first compact crossover the Changhe Q35 SUV in Yangon.

The launch event for this sporty car was held at the Grand Wyndham Hotel on August 2.

The unique sports SUV is semi knocked-down (SKD) model, meaning that all the cars have been imported and reassembled in Gold Aya Motors International’s car plant in Mandalay. The company hopes to produce about 10,000 units each year.

The new Q35 is positioned as a mid-high end SUV, and appeals to those young drivers looking to impress on the roads. The sleek design and front wheel drive make it easy to maneuver in many of Myanmar’s urban and rural terrain.

A 1.5L CVVT four-cylinder engine is robust, with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission, giving the car great power for the price.

“We used the AT gear box from Aisin in the Q 35, a world leading supplier of transmissions. The mechanics are designed for different driving habits and environments, to provide quick and responsive timing for the gears,” said vice general manger Mr Yan Jun from Gold AYA Motors International Co Ltd.

A floating screen layout is beautiful to look at and, with its luminous display, ensures the driver’s sight remains on the road for driving safety.

The interior is spacious and comfortable, and will leave you and your passengers enjoying every trip. Besides the electric power steering will make cornering an effortless joy, as well as reducing the fuel consumption.

Anti-lock braking system (ABS) allows the wheels to maintain traction with the road surface during the most testing of journeys, preventing the wheels from locking up and skidding when stopping suddenly.

The car also has electronic brake distribution, and works with the ABS to distribute the braking force across all four wheels. EBDs distributes the braking force equally, whilstthe ABS ensures all four wheels rotate at the same when making a sudden stop. Ingenioustechnology that works intuitively, saving you from working so hard during those important times.

Q35 is suited for challenging environments – in the city that may involve avoiding high curbs, and in the country navigating steep rugged roads. With 180mm ground clearance and responsive engine, these conditions will be more of a breeze than it would for other SUVs.

All parts of the Q35 are assembled in Mandalay, imported by Gold AYA imported from the Chinese BAIC Company, which alsoworks with Mercedes and Hyundai.

The official retail price for Changhe Q35 is US$21,800, which includes a three year or 60,000 kilometre warranty.

The Shining Star Group of Kunming, China established Gold AYA Motors International Co Ltd, and has assembled automobiles in Myanmar since 2017.
