Authorities in Mandalay have allowed the reopening of gyms and fitness training classes provided they follow the health ministry’s guidelines.
Public gatherings will not be allowed but gyms and some training classes will be allowed to reopen, said U Sai Pan Sai, Mandalay Region Shan Ethnic Affairs Minister.
“Parks, futsal grounds, skating grounds, fitness centres which have a handwashing sink will be allowed to reopen. Private training classes that do not have more than 50 attendees will be inspected for reopening. Additionally, billiards and snooker clubs will be included for reopening,” he said.
“However, weddings, pagoda festivals, stage shows, cinemas, and others such as the Six Miles, Seven Miles, and Nine Miles amusement parks will not be permitted to reopen,” he said.
The Mandalay Gem market will also be allowed to reopen with different shifts, he added.
People returning to Mandalay Region from overseas and from outside of the region are still required to complete a 21-day community-based facility quarantine followed by a home quarantine for seven days. – Translated
