Yangon Squatters Exceed 450,000

The number of squatters in Yangon has exceeded 450,000, chief minister Phyo Min Thein told business leaders at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry. “The squatter problem is related to the industrial zones. But some industrial zones have no squatters. There are many squatters in Hlaingtharyar Township. I will lead the committee to allocate squatters and cooperate with the union government.
